Cracked Windshield Forces American Flight Back To O'Hare
No injuries were reported in Monday's incident involving a Tokyo-bound flight.

CHICAGO, IL — A cracked windshield Monday forced a Tokyo-bound American Airlines flight to return to O'Hare International Airport, according to Flight Alerts, which monitors airline emergencies. Only the outer pane of the flight deck's windshield in front of the captain's seat was damaged, ORD Airport Insider posted on Twitter.
American flight 153 was carrying 164 passengers and had a crew of 13, and no injuries were reported. The airline was working with passengers Monday to ensure they made it to their destinations, the carrier said in a statement Monday.
A maintenance team also was checking out the plane to determine what caused the crack, the airline said.
