Beloved mother of Robert (Maria) Cassidy, James (Vera) Cassidy, Peter Cassidy and Patricia Levy (Allen) Andrews, William (Eileen) Cassidy, Joseph Cassidy and the late Thomas Cassidy. Proud grandmother of David, Irene, Monette, Daniel, Rebecca, Jacob (Nyssa), Nicole, Melissa, Christina, John, Joanne and Doris. Cherished great grandmother of 18. Dear sister of the late Eduard (Delores) Levy and the late Alice (the late Kappy) Kaplan. Doris is remembered as a "force of nature" who influenced and affected everyone she knew, even strangers. Her tenacious spirit, her creativity, her insistence on thinking for herself, her love of music and of singing, and especially her love of the water, whether swimming or boating. She loved her seven children deeply. She lived long, laughed heartily, loved passionately, and pulled no punches. May she be remembered among the mourners of Israel. May her memory be for a blessing.
