Driver Shot on Eisenhower Expressway

The man was headed eastbound when he was shot at by another man in a black car, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — Another driver has been shot on a Chicago expressway.

The motorist was shot Friday afternoon as he was headed eastbound on the Eisenhower Expressway on the city's West Side, Chicago Tribune reports.

It is reportedly the 10th shooting on the Ike to date this year.

The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m., as the man was trying to exit at the Western Avenue ramp in the city's Lawndale neighborhood. Someone in a black car shot him in the back and fled.

The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He is reported as in fair condition.

State troopers were diverting traffic on the inbound Eisenhower around 4:15 p.m. as they searched for shell casings.
