Dapper Gent on CTA Train Shuts a Drunk, Racist Mouth With a Proper Pummeling

VIDEO: He beat him right out of the train. A passenger recorded the South Side beat down and posted the video on Twitter Monday night.

CHICAGO — A dapper gentleman in a blue blazer and khakis doled out Chicago-style street justice aboard a CTA train at the 35th Street station recently, beating a younger man said to have spent 15 minutes spewing racist taunts at the older man.

Videos of the episode on the Red Line train were posted to Twitter on Monday night, April 18. The older black man, fed up after listening to tattooed, bearded, white man taunt him with the word "nigger" repeatedly, got up from his seat and dished out a beating that put the younger man on the ground, the video shows.

Just before punishment was dealt, the younger man screams, "Hit me, come on do something."

Without a word, and much to the surprise and satisfaction of fellow South Side CTA riders, the pummeling began. He doesn't even unbutton his jacket. After putting him to the ground, he slams the younger man's head to the floor with both hands.

Described as a "drunken racist" by the Twitter user who recorded the video, the younger man tried to cover himself with his tattooed forearms. The older man stood up over him and kicked him a few times before pushing him off the CTA train at the 35th Street station near the Chicago White Sox ballpark, U.S. Cellular Field.

The blazer-clad fellow literally beat the piss out of the other guy. Fellow train riders cheered and jeered as the white man sat on the concrete, his jeans now soaking wet with his own urine.

"He deserved everything he got," said the video poster, identified as kemond. "He was talking that racist s--- to him for 15 mins straight and he said nothing."

When the well-dressed man was done, he simply sat down and rested. He didn't even muss his clothes or lose his cap.

"He just handled his business," a bystander says with admiration.

Attempts to reach the Twitter user who posted the video for more information as yet have been unsuccessful.

The videos inspired an outpouring of reaction, with some lauding the man as a hero.
