Fall Out Boy Bassist Pete Wentz DJing 2019 Green Tie Ball
Chance the Snapper catcher Frank Robb will also attend fundraiser for Chicago green spaces.
The Green Tie Ball returns on Friday, September 13 at a new location with a new theme to help support beautifying public spaces with greenery and cleanliness.
This year’s theme, ‘I Dream of Greenie,’ draws upon the classic American fantasy sitcom starring Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman. Alhambra Palace, the ball’s new location, will transport guests to Jeannie’s bottle with its Moorish art, intricate gilded doorways, hand-painted tiles, stone mosaics and crystal chandeliers.
Special guest this year is Chicago’s own Pete Wentz in the DJ booth. Wentz is known for his work as the bassist and lyricist of multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated Fall Out Boy. WGN Radio’s Roe Conn and Anna Davlantes will keep the evening lively as this year’s MCs. Guests include gator trapper Frank Robb, who joined Chicago lore by catching Chance The Snapper, the gator found in Humboldt Park.
