Feds Raid Ald. Ed Burke's Office
FBI agents papered over the windows of the longtime Chicago alderman's office during their investigation Thursday morning.

CHICAGO — The City Hall office of longtime 14th Ward Ald. Ed Burke was raided by FBI agents Thursday morning, according to the Chicao Tribune. No arrests have been made, and none are imminent. It's not known why Burke's office was raided by feds.
Agents placed brown paper over the glass windows and door of Burke's office during their investigation Thursday, Nov. 29. Office employees were told to leave while agents were inside, the Tribune reports.
Burke has been 14th Ward alderman since 1969 and had planned to run for a record 14th term next year. He also has been the chairman of the City Council's Finance Committee.

Federal investigators were at Burke's Southwest Side ward office, which also sported papered-over windows, the Tribune reports. Agents were executing a search warrant there, and they left at around 1:30 p.m. with boxes, a computer hard drive and at least three computer monitors, the report added.
