Frosty Nights Possible, Warmer Temps On The Horizon In Illinois

Frost is possible Sunday night, Monday night and Tuesday night, before we finally start to see some warmer temperatures.

ILLINOIS — Temperatures will remain cool for the start of the work week, although warmer temperatures are now on the horizon, according to the National Weather Service.

By the end of the week, highs will be near 70, but first we have to get a few nights of frost, according to the weather service. Frost development will be possible Sunday night, Monday night and Tuesday night, as temperatures at night drop to near freezing.

Monday during the day will have a high of 57 degrees, while Tuesday has a high of 61, according to the weather service. Almost the entire week looks to be sunny and dry, with a slight chance of showers on Friday.

After Tuesday, temperatures will start to creep closer to 70 degrees. According to the weather service, the high for Wednesday is 65, the high for Thursday is 67 and the high for Friday is 68 degrees.
