Hiltons at McCormick Place Hotel to Recognize Military Members

Veterans Day campaign to honor Chicago's Hometown Heroes

The Hiltons at McCormick Place tri-branded hotel has launched a citywide campaign to recognize Chicago’s dedicated military members in honor of Veterans Day. Kevin Carlin, Hiltons at McCormick Place Director of Sales & Marketing made the announcement.

Managed by First Hospitality Group, a leading hotel management, acquisition and development company based right outside of Chicago, the hotel is seeking community nominations beginning Sunday, November 11 through Wednesday, November 21 for hometown military heroes who have courageously served or are currently enlisted in military services. All active and retired military members who reside within Chicago are eligible to win. The winner will receive:

  • A free two-night stay at the triple-brand hotel
  • A VIP Tour of Soldier Field with 10 guests
  • A private gathering at the property’s VU Skyward Bev & Eat rooftop dining and lounge experience with 10 guests
  • A Chicago experience gift basket, featuring exciting gifts and activities like the Chicago Helicopter Experience, local brewery tours, and a $100 Chicago Bears Apparel gift card

“We really want to use our presence in the Chicago community as a way to do good and connect with residents,” said Carlin. “Our Hometown Hero program will serve to shine a spotlight on the men and women in our community who go above and beyond the call of duty every day to ensure our freedom. We are honored to recognize the brave and selfless service of Chicago’s active and veteran military members and look forward to showing our appreciation for the sacrifices they have made.”

Connected to McCormick Place, North America’s largest convention center, and adjacent to Wintrust Arena, the tri-branded Hiltons at McCormick Place hotel is a one-of-kind addition to downtown Chicago’s South Loop and Motor Row District lodging offerings. With all three brands within one building, the guest-centric lobby offers a convenient check-in desk for all three brands, designed with the interest of guests in mind to make their experience seamless. Managed by First Hospitality Group, the 23-story tri-branded hotel boasts 466 total guest rooms—184 Hilton Garden Inn rooms, 187 Hampton Inn rooms and 95 suites within the Home2 Suites, as well as a skybridge providing guests with convenient access to McCormick Place. Along with each brands’ signature offerings aimed at ensuring comfort, convenience and productivity for their respective guests, the hotel also provides larger and enhanced communal areas and amenities than what would be standard at a standalone property. These include an expanded exercise room, indoor pool, 24-hour business center and 10 flexible event/meeting spaces totaling nearly 7,000 square feet, as well as a wealth of added food & beverage offerings. The hotel represents Hilton’s first tri-branded property, furthering the company’s leadership position in the development of multi-brand hotels. Hilton currently has a footprint of more than 85 open, multi-brand properties, with an even larger pipeline of multi-brand projects in development around the globe.
