Illinois Voters Want New Presidential Nominees: Poll

New Reboot Illinois/We Ask America poll finds nearly 40 percent of Illinoisans would like new presidential candidates.

Nearly 40 percent of Illinois voters wish they had a different candidate to support for president, a new poll found.

While Illinois native and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton remains the clear favorite in her home state, 38 percent of all those polled said they would prefer to have different candidates in the race that features Clinton, Republican nominee Donald Trump, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein.

Asked if to agree or disagree with the statement, “I wish someone else were my party’s nominee,” 38 percent agreed, 50 percent disagreed and 12 percent said they were undecided about wanting another nominee.
