The weather is finally nice and it is time to go out and enjoy summer while you can! Lincoln Park is the perfect place for good times and amazing food!

Join us for Lincoln Park Summer Sundaes, an outdoor event series on the second Sunday of every month through September. Celebrate summer in Lincoln Park and explore each of the neighborhood’s distinctive business hubs.

Stop by Lincoln Avenue on Sunday, July 11 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Music, family-friendly games and activities, and performances that will take place on the plaza at Lincoln Common (2335 N. Lincoln). This will also feature free ice cream for the first 100 people who stop by and mention "Summer Sundaes."

Performance & Entertainment Schedule
1:15 - 1:45 p.m. - Kids sing-a-long and musical performance by Nanny Nikki
2:15 - 2:45 p.m. - Gus Giordano Dance School Performance
3:00 - 4:00 p.m. - Live Music from The Smoking Fish

Picnics on the Plaza- Lincoln Common

Grab your comfiest blanket (or finest picnic gear), order some fan favorites from Velvet Taco, Verve Wine or Casati’s Modern Italian and enjoy musical performances from The Smoking Fish and Celloist Nurlan! *

Nature

Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum

The Nature Museum will be open to visitors Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, 10:00A.M.-4:00P.M beginning July 8. They will reopen 7 days a week beginning September 7, 2021.
The reopening is structured with responsible attention to the needs of our visitors. They are opening with reduced capacity, and ask visitors, volunteers, and staff to adhere to common COVID-19 safety procedures when they are in the building.

Lincoln Park Zoo

Lincoln Park Zoo is dedicated to connecting people with nature by providing a free, family-oriented wildlife experience in the heart of Chicago and by advancing the highest quality of animal care, education, science, and conservation.
Monday–Friday
10:00A.M.–5:00P.M.
Saturday and Sunday
Open until 7:00P.M. (June 5 through September 5, plus Labor Day.)

Lincoln Park Conservancy

Visit the Lincoln Park Conservatory and step into beauty and tranquility. Feel the clean, oxygen-rich air. Smell the fragrant tropical flowers. See ancient ferns and towering palms. Experience the charm of a Victorian Era glass house.

Music

NEWCITY Sounds of Summer
NEWCITY is pleased to present the 2021 “Sounds of Summer” weekly, outdoor concert series.
This free concert series takes place in the plaza from 7pm until 9pm on select Thursdays through the summer through August. There is limited on-site seating but plenty of room available for blankets and chairs, so grab your friends, family, and neighbors and enjoy a Chicago summer evening of live music!

Golden Dagger

Golden Dagger is Chicago's most artist-friendly music venue. Formerly known as tonic room, they are now operating as a fully functioning coffee bar, with live shows and events several times a week, and open for alcohol service everyday beginning at noon.

Kingston Mines

Founded in 1968, Kingston Mines is the largest and oldest continuously operating blues club in Chicago. They invite you to come on down, get comfortable, enjoy some delicious fare from Doc’s Kitchen, and open your ears to some of Chicago’s best live music.


Theater

Zanies- Michael Palascak
Michael Palascak is a comedian from Chicago who now lives in LA. He performed on both The Late Late Show with James Corden and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in the same year. He has over 1 million views on YouTube.
Michael’s likability allows him to relate to his audiences in a real way which sets up the huge laughs he gets from his sharp, personal material.

The Second City- Out of the House Party
The Second City’s favorite e.t.c. stage is back, live and in-person! Join their raring-to-go cast of comedians for this laugh-packed adventure. From improv games to classic sketches from the archives, this experience is a great way for us all to laugh our way into the new normal. We can’t wait to welcome you back to The Second City e.t.c, where laughs (and masks!) are mandatory.
