Man Hanging From Trump Tower For 13 Hours Pulled To Safety
Police said the man was threatening suicide while suspended from the 16th floor of the residential building and hotel.

CHICAGO, IL — A man was taken into custody early Monday after police say he hung from the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago for more than 13 hours. Just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday, police said officers, SWAT units and the Chicago fire department responded to the tower at 401 N. Wabash Ave. for a report of a man suspended from the 16th floor threatening suicide.
After hours of negotiations, the man was pulled to safety and the incident was resolved peacefully, police spokesman Tom Ahern said. No injuries were reported.

The incident closed Wacker Drive between Michigan and State and forced the CTA to reroute multiple buses. As of just before 8 a.m., the CTA said service had returned to normal.
