Mayor Cites Virus Stats In Appeal To Black Voters To Dump Trump
Mayor Lightfoot says "No Black person" should vote for President Trump on Election Day because of COVID-19 death rate of African Americans.

CHICAGO — Mayor Lori Lightfoot on Election Day urged Black people not to vote for President Donald Trump, if for no other reason than coronavirus statistics that show African Americans have died from COVID-19 at the highest rate of any racial demographic in America.
"That [statistic] is the reason why no Black person, no Black man can vote for Donald Trump," she said at a news conference Tuesday.
"The fact that he has the audacity to say that he has done more for Black people than any President since Abraham Lincoln is an absolute insult. And makes us look like us that we don't know the facts, that we are not educated. And we are. We are better than that, she said. “We cannot support this man who has absolutely wreaked havoc not only on our country but our community. We cannot support Donald Trump. We need to send him back.”
