MY SALON Suite Names Valina Patton a 2021 Suite Elite Member

New Orleans, LA (April 26, 2021) – Valina Patton, of the Logan Square section of Chicago, has been named a 2021 Suite Elite Featured Member by MY SALON Suite.

Valina is one of 11 beauty salon owners from across the nation who have been selected as part of MY SALON Suite’s 2021 Suite Elite Featured Member program. The chosen stylists are members of MY SALON Suite, a co-working style space where salon professionals provide beauty services to their clients in private, fully equipped, custom suites. There are more than 200 franchised MY SALON Suite locations across the U.S. and Canada with more than 5,000 beauty professional members, collectively called the Suite Elite.

Patton opened her salon, Beauty by Valina, in the Niles, Ill. MY SALON Suite location in July 2020. She provides eyebrow, hair removal, and hair services, including extensions and custom wigs. She has been working in the beauty field for 12 years, both at retail establishments, such as Nordstrom and Ulta, and offering hair and other services for weddings and special events on the side.

When COVID-19 hit, Patton had to cancel hundreds of freelance appointments and was unable to work for three months. She heard about MY SALON Suite from a friend and decided to open her own suite. She now has 200 devoted clients. Patton plans to grow her business within MY SALON Suite and looks forward to hiring employees and launching her own cosmetics line. She lives in Chicago’s Logan Square.

My parents and wonderful fiancé were instrumental in the process – today, my flexible schedule allows me to spend more time with them. Plus, I have the freedom to be my creative self, and that’s the best feeling. Now with the honor of being named a Suite Elite Featured Member, I really believe there are no limits.”

Aligning with this year’s theme of Make It Yours: Next Level, Patton and her fellow winners will enjoy special experiences, rewards, and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to elevate their businesses throughout 2021, including:

A donation in each winner’s name will also be made to MY SALON Suite’s philanthropic partner, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

After over 600 suite members sought consideration for the 2021 Featured Member campaign, more than 60 candidates completed an application asking them to share their personal journeys with MY SALON Suite, how they’ve worked to achieve success, and what improvements they would make if given the opportunity to renovate their suites. A panel of judges next narrowed down the winners to 11 extraordinary business owners who represent a wide range of specialties, personalities, and geographies.
