NEWCITY Hosts “Yappy Hour” for Chicago’s Furry Friends
Event Will Benefit One Tail at a Time Animal Rescue
It’s Pawty Time at NEWCITY with the first ever “Yappy Hour” taking place on Thursday, July 18thfrom 6:00 p.m. -8:30 p.m.in the outdoor plaza (1457 N Halsted). This free event welcomes Chicago’s furry friends and their owners to socialize, snack and sip on signature cocktails while enjoying some of the many activities taking place on site. 100% of proceeds will support One Tail at a Timeanimal rescue.
“Yappy Hour” will feature a variety of activities which include a Yappy Hour Menu ($4 food/drink tickets), photo booth, mega raffle ($1500 value), pet sketches, face painting, bark park fenced in pet turf, balloon twisters, and fresh food cooking demo and samples from JustFoodForDogs. in advance of their fall kitchen opening in Chicago”
A fashion show will take place on the pink carpet where pups can showcase their best outfits for a chance to win the title of “Best in Show” and $500. Second place will receive $250 and 3rdplace $100. The first 200 attendees will receive a doggy gift bags that can be picked up at Capital One Café.

“It’s officially summer so what better way to enjoy the weather than with your dog,” explains Suzanne Kopulos, spokesperson for NEWCITY.

One Tail at a Timeis a Chicago-based animal rescue that aims to end pet homelessness by making pet ownership a joyful and accessible experience for all.
