Overnight Ramp Closure Set for Part of I55/LSD
The ramp will be closed overnight on June 24 as part of the Interchange reconstruction project. A posted detour will direct traffic.

From IDOT: The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced that an overnight ramp closure will take place on the inbound Stevenson Expressway (northbound Interstate 55), in Chicago, weather permitting, Saturday June 24, as part of the ongoing Interstate 55/Lake Shore Drive (U.S. 41) Interchange Reconstruction project. The closure is necessary to pour the concrete bridge deck for a new ramp at the interchange.
Starting at 11 p.m. Saturday, the ramp from the inbound Stevenson Expressway to northbound Lake Shore Drive will be closed until 7 a.m.Sunday, June 25. A posted detour will direct northbound Stevenson traffic to take the southbound Lake Shore Drive ramp, exit at 31st Street and reenter northbound Lake Shore Drive.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
