Rain Wednesday, Storms Thursday and Friday Likely For Illinois

CHICAGO, IL — Three days after tornadoes swept through DuPage County and the Plainfield area, residents can expect several days of rain and storms. The National Weather Service said rain and thunderstorms are possible Wednesday before 2 p.m., with a slight chance of showers between 2 and 3 p.m.

Wind gusts could hit 30 mph Wednesday, with a temperature near 80 degrees.

More storms are in the forecast for Friday, with the possibility of heavy rainfall both during the day and Friday night.

Storms could continue into the weekend, with Saturday's forecast showing that showers and thunderstorms are likely.

While there is a chance of storms Sunday, the forecast calls for partly sunny skies.

Meanwhile, tornado cleanup and recovery continues in the hardest-hit areas, including Woodridge and Naperville.
