The FBI believes the 21-year-old man who killed 7-year-old Jaslyn Adams may be in Florida, according to federal charges.

CHICAGO — The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Devontay Anderson, who is believed to have fled the state. Anderson, who turns 22 later this month, is a suspect in the shooting death of 7-year-old Jaslyn Adams.
On April 26, Anderson was charged with first degree murder in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, and a state warrant was issued for his arrest. A federal arrest warrant was issued for Anderson on April 29, after he was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
According to federal charges based on Chicago police reports, Anderson shot an AK-47 into a car as Jaslyn and her father waited in the drive-thru lane of a West Side McDonald’s last month. Jaslyn was shot six times; her father was shot in the back but survived. Chicago police believe the shooting was gang related.
