Temps Return To 80s, 90 Degrees On The Horizon For IL

Temperatures will return to the 80s by the end of the week, and highs of 90 degrees are expected this weekend.

ILLINOIS — Warmer temperatures return this week, as highs climb back into the 80s, according to the National Weather Service forecast. There is a chance of showers on Wednesday and Thursday, but the weather will otherwise be dry, the weather service said.

Tuesday will be sunny with a high of 78; and Wednesday will be 79 with a chance of rain mainly south, according to the weather service. Rain is also possible Wednesday night and Thursday, again with higher chances for south of Interstate 80.

Thursday has a high of 83 degrees, and Friday has a high of 88 degrees, according to the weather service.

The warm conditions are expected to continue into the weekend, which looks very warm as highs could hit 90 degrees, according to the weather service forecast. The hot temps will continue into next week as well.
