Tornadoes: 'At Least 3' Touched Down Friday Night In Illinois

Tornadoes hit the towns of Mahomet, Cisco and Danforth on Friday.

DANFORTH, IL — Five days after at least two tornadoes touched down in the Chicago area, injuring a pregnant woman and claiming the life of her unborn baby, "at least three" tornadoes touched down in other parts of Illinois.

A spotter confirmed that a tornado touched down around 8:14 p.m. in Danforth, which is in Iroquois County. Minor tree damage was reported after what one spotter called a "brief, weak" tornado there.

According to WCIA, tornadoes also touched down in Mahomet in Champaign County around 5:30 p.m. and Cisco in Piatt County around 6:05 p.m.

Meanwhile, in the Chicago area, a flash flood watch was in place until 7 a.m. Sunday for parts of Cook, DuPage, Will, Kendall, Grundy and Kane.
