Chicago Woman and Her Sister Found Dead at Island Resort Off African Coast
A Chicago woman and her sister were found dead last week in their island resort villa off the east coast of Africa. Robin Korkki, 42, and her sister, Annie Korkki, 37, of Denver, had been on vacation at the Maia Luxury Resort in Seychelles, an island in the Indian Ocean.
2 Left Dead in 2 Shootings in Same Day on Ike
Two were killed in two separate shootings in the same day along the Eisenhower Expressway. A woman was also wounded in the first of the two shootings.

A sketch of the severed head pulled from the lagoon at McKinley Park was released by police Wednesday in an effort to uncover the victim's identity.

Just over a year ago, the owners of a suburban trucking company bought the patrol car of the late Lt. Joe Gliniewicz at a fundraising auction as a way to honor the "fallen hero." But that all quickly changed. Restored and sold at auction for $18,750, the funds will go to the family of a police sergeant who lost his battle with cancer.
