Try Scotch in Cocktail Form on National Scotch Day
Green Street Local and Vol. 39 will be using Aberlour scotch for mixed drinks.
Scotch is not for everyone. But for those curious enough to sample the result of malted barley, fermentation and barrel aging without fully committing, Vol. 39 and the recently-remodeled Green Street Local are serving 12-year Aberlour scotch with a few other ingredients to allow those interested to dip their toes in before a pulling a full cannonball off the side.
GSL will be serving the following cocktails with Aberlour 12-year from Friday, July 27 through Sunday, July 29.
- Ruth’s Julep (pictured): elder flower liquor, simple syrup, fresh lemon juice
- Highlands Peach: Combier peach liquor, Triple Sec, Country Time Lemonade
- Rob Roy: Martini & Rossi Sweet Vermouth, a dash of Angostura Bitters, cherry garnish
Green Street Local is located at 130 S. Green Street.
