'Tails Of Redemption' Dogs Both Find New Homes
In its Tails of Redemption program, the Sheriff's Office pairs dogs with detainees to get them ready for new homes.
CHICAGO, IL — The Cook County Sheriff's Office has adopted out two very good dogs as a part of a training program. The Tails of Redemption program places dogs with detainees who house train them and teach them basic commands.
Gilmore and Rochelle were with Chicago Animal Care and Control and, after some training, were ready for forever homes. It only took days for Gilmore to find a new owner.
A few days later the Sheriff's office posted on Facebook that Rochelle had found a forever home too.
