Warm Monday, Severe Weather Possible: Illinois Weather
After Monday, temperatures will cool back to the 60s for the rest of the week.
ILLINOIS — A warmer Monday with possible severe weather will start the work week off, followed by temperatures in the 60s, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Thunderstorms are expected Monday afternoon, with some strong to severe in the afternoon through the evening, the weather service said.
Large hail and damaging winds are possible with the storms. The weather service said confidence is medium on thunderstorms happening and low on the coverage on severe storms. Storms are most likely between 4 and 10 p.m., especially south of Interstate 88, according to the weather service.

Monday will have a high of 77, before a high of 61 on Tuesday, 62 on Wednesday, 61 on Thursday and 62 on Friday, according to the weather service.

Showers are possible in the afternoon on Tuesday and Thursday, but it will be mostly sunny on Wednesday and Friday.
