60-Degree Temps This Weekend Before Big Warmup In Illinois
A surge in temperatures is on the horizon for the work week.
ILLINOIS — Warm temperatures are on the horizon as highs in the 60s are expected this weekend, according to the National Weather Service forecast. A high of 61 is expected Saturday and a high of 60 on Sunday, before a high of 76 on Monday.
Rain is possible this weekend, and is most likely early Saturday before 1 p.m., according to the weather service.
The weather service said on its Twitter that there will be a sharp cut-off to rain chances near the Interstate 55 corridor. It should be partly sunny on Sunday, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

The big warm-up in temps hits the area on Monday, which will be in the 70s. Tuesday will be even warmer, with an expected high of 83 degrees, and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to the weather service.
