Where To Find The Best Pizza In Chicago

Ask any Chicagoan where to find the best deep dish pizza in the city, and chances are they can rattle off several solid recommendations. But don't be surprised if you hear Pequod's suggested again and again. According to The Daily Meal, the old establishment has the best pizza in all of Illinois.

The organization recently rounded up all of the best foods and drinks around the country, from sushi and fried chicken to burgers and beers. And they think that Pequod's holds up as one of the top pizza joints in the country.

Here's what they had to say about the restaurant: "Pequod’s deep-dish, known for its “caramelized crust,” earns points for its chewy, crusty, quasi-burnt cheese crust that forms the outer edge of this cheesy casserole, adding a welcome degree of texture that probably wouldn’t be necessary if it weren’t nearly an inch thick. But it is necessary. And beautiful. And it does add that texture."

While the Windy City is certainly known for its deep dish-style pizza, Pequod's also has delicious thin-crust slices, if that's more your style. Still, that caramelized crust seems pretty hard to beat, if you ask us.
