The Rialto Square Theatre recently announced an Active Shooter Readiness Seminar in partnership with the Joliet Police and the Will County Sheriff’s Department. The free seminar is set to take place on at the theatre on Wednesday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m.

Due to a series of unfortunate events around the country and recommendations by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for planning and preparation, Rialto executives decided the seminar was necessary for Joliet citizens and citizens of surrounding communities.

“As we see on the news almost every day, the world has changed,” says Rialto Square Theatre Executive Director, Val Devine. “We want to do all we can to help prepare the citizens of Joliet and surrounding areas in the case they ever find themselves in one of these horrible situations.”
