Joliet Man Kept Shattering Windows Of People Who Made Him Angry: Police
Joliet police said their suspect reportedly took a patio brick from outside the residence and shattered a window before fleeing the scene.

JOLIET, IL ? It took the Joliet Police Department nearly a month to capture 31-year-old Victor Hernandez, as the department revealed Hernandez's arrest happened this past weekend on three charges of criminal property damage and one crime of aggravated fleeing and eluding police officers.
According to police spokesman Dwayne English, back on October 5, at 8:27 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Henderson Avenue where a man was damaging someone's house. The man had gone to the upstairs enclosed porch and began punching and kicking the door. He then reportedly took a patio brick from outside and shattered a window before fleeing the scene.
English said the officers identified Hernandez as their prime suspect and learned he was an acquaintance to the victim. Officers were unable to locate him at the time.

Then, just a few hours later, Joliet police responded to another house, this time in the 200 block of Davis Street. At 12:28 a.m., on October 6, officers handled another property damage house crime. In the second crime, the officers learned that a man had shattered an upstairs window to the residence while a woman was inside. The suspect in this incident was identified as Hernandez and the officers learned that the Davis Street address was that of an ex-girlfriend.
"It is believed that Hernandez fled the scene in a vehicle," English revealed.

Officers checking the area spotted Hernandez?s vehicle near Water Street and Davis Street and conducted a traffic stop. However, Hernandez fled the traffic stop at a high rate of speed and the officers did not pursue the vehicle, which was later found unoccupied in the 300 block of Joliet Street, according to English, who pointed out that the vehicle was then towed away.
By October 9, Joliet police obtained an arrest warrant for three counts of criminal damage to property and aggravated fleeing and eluding a peace officer and this past Saturday afternoon, Hernandez was taken into custody during a traffic stop in the 1700 block of West Jefferson in which he was driving a different vehicle.
Hernandez was processed at the Joliet Police Department and transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. Jail logs show that Hernandez comes from the apartment units in the 200 block of Joliet's East Webster Street. After spending three days in jail, Hernandez regained his freedom on Monday afternoon, his jail logs reflect.
