Anthony's Bar Patron Scuffles With Joliet Police When They Arrest Her: Police
The Joliet police say the officer attempted to place her into custody, and she resisted, twisting her body toavoid arrest.

JOLIET, IL ? The Joliet Police Department announced that a 30-year-old Joliet woman was arrested in recent days at the Anthony's Restaurant in connection with allegations that she refused to leave the property and then became violent toward the police officers.
Aurora Rodriguez, age 30, of Joliet was arrested on three counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting a peace officer and criminal trespass.
According to Joliet police official Dwayne English, at 10:32 p.m. July 13, an officer working an assignment at Anthony?s Restaurant and Pub at 3151 Voyager Lane was notified by security about a woman causing a disturbance and refusing to leave.

The officer approached Rodriguez and advised her to leave, and she refused, according to English. Rodriguez slapped the officer?s hand away when they attempted to escort her from the premises, he said. English said the officer attempted to place her into custody, and she resisted, twisting her body to avoid arrest.
Additional officers arrived on scene and Rodriguez was placed into custody.

According to English, Rodriguez continued to be combative when the officers attempted to place her in a vehicle for transport, biting the forearm of an officer and kicking another officer.
Rodriguez was transported to the Joliet Police Department, where she was evaluated by Joliet Fire Department paramedics for a preexisting medical issue, her arrest report noted.
She was taken to St Joseph Medical Center by the Joliet Fire Department. She was released from the hospital a short time later and then was processed and released on a notice to appear in court from the Joliet Police Department.
