Dr. Daniel Sullivan, 58, Beloved Father, Son, Brother, Friend

A celebration of life will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at the Chicago Street Pub in downtown Joliet.

JOLIET, IL — With our most profound sorrow, we announce that Daniel Bernard Sullivan Jr., DDS., age 58, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 25, 2021, in Seattle, Washington.

Daniel was born November 3, 1962, in Peoria, IL. He graduated from Joliet West High School, Loyola University Chicago, and the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.

Daniel is survived by his beloved daughters; Lauren Sullivan of Denver, CO and Julie Sullivan of San Luis Obispo, CA; mother Kathryn Sullivan of Joliet, IL; father Daniel (Shery) Sullivan of Joliet IL; brother, Douglas (Susan) Sullivan of Joliet; sisters Diane (Ian) Galleher of Chicago; Karen (Brent) Moats of Joliet; step-sisters Michelle (Steve) Simotes of Rockdale, IL and Carrie Phelan of Joliet; former spouse and mother of his daughters, Brenda Sullivan of Fruita, CO; and his beloved pets Citra and Guinness.

Dan had many interests in life, including a deep love for music, sports, high-tech gadgets, a good pint, and a passion for cycling and snowboarding. As it was Daniel’s request, cremation rites have been accorded.

A celebration of life will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Chicago St. Pub, 75 N. Chicago St. Joliet, IL. A private gathering for the immediate family will follow.
