El Chivo Restaurant Closes On Broadway St.

CREST HILL, IL ? A Joliet area restaurant with nearly 1,300 Facebook followers announced this past weekend that it will stay closed until further notice. El Chivo Birrieria & Taquiera is located at 2001 North Broadway St. in Crest Hill.

"Mexican food at its best! Come and try our amazing homemade Birria; truly the best in town!" the Facebook page for El Chivo proclaims.

Now, it remains unclear when El Chivo will ever reopen for its customers. El Chivo was closed more than two weeks in June for a remodeling project. But in that case, El Chivo alerted its readers on social media that it would be reopening on July 1, and it did.

More than a dozen customers visited the El Chivo Facebook page over the weekend to post their reaction to the news.
