Aviator is a 10 week old Border Collie mix. He came down with Parvovirus at 6 weeks and after two hospital stays, was in his foster home recovering and waiting to be ready to be adopted by a family that has been patiently waiting for him.
Unfortunately, Aviator had another medical setback that arose, a birth defect called Persistent Right Aortic Arch (PRAA). This means that his esophagus is blocked and the blockage has increased to where he is unable to eat or drink anything. Aviator is at University of Illinois getting ready to have major invasive surgery that will hopefully correct this problem. He may have long-term effects from this defect. Right now the main concern is doing whatever can be done to save him. He is in good hands where he is. Surgery alone will run about $6,000 plus a number of days hospital stay and pain management. Paws Up 4 Rescue is reaching to the community for any help you can give. Anything will make an impact, even $5 and if you can't give, please share this fundraiser to help extend its reach. The fundraiser is set up on Facebook and is running through February 23rd. Click Here to be directed to the fundraiser link.
