ICE Returns To Joliet: Warehouse Workers For Justice Reveal 1 Person Was Detained

You have the right to film ICE and police activity and the right to refuse to sign anything, Warehouse Workers for Justice announced.

JOLIET, IL ? For perhaps the first time in a few weeks, ICE agents have returned to Joliet, and late Tuesday morning at least one person was detained by the federal immigration gency, according to the Warehouse Workers for Justice.

Warehouse Workers for Justice announced on Facebook that ICE was spotted in Joliet's downtown around 10:45 a.m. near Scott Street and Van Buren Street, which is within two blocks of the Gateway Transportation Center.

According to the Will County Rapid Response Network, the ICE vehicles included one black Dodge Charger, a gray Chrysler Voyager and a gray Dodge Durango. "We have confirmed that one person was detained," the Warehouse Workers For Justice shared.

Lastly, the social justice advocacy organization reminded everyone that "you have the right to film ICE and police activity, the right to remain silent, the right to speak to an attorney and the right to refuse to sign anything."
