JOLIET, IL – The Joliet Fire Department helped Santa bring holiday cheer to patients in a local hospital this weekend in a creative way.

On Sunday, members of the fire department, along with Santa and one of his elves, visited Amita St. Josephs Hospital to bring some holiday cheer.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, they were not allowed to go inside and visit with patients and this year, however. Instead, Tower 6 lifted Santa to different floors so he could wave to those who will spend the holidays in the hospital.
