Joliet Public Assets Supervisor Eulitz Honored with Award
Eulitz was awarded the 2019 Samuel A. Greeley Award for his longtime service and dedication to the City of Joliet.

Recently, Public Assets Supervisor Mike Eulitz was honored with the 2019 Samuel A. Greeley Award. He received the award during the American Public Works Association (APWA) Southwest Branch of the Chicago Metro Chapter awards ceremony held on January 8, 2020.
The award is given each year to an individual who has faithfully served in an official capacity while contributing to the development of Public Works. Recipients of the Samuel A. Greeley Award continuously work to improve the quality of life for those who live and work within the community in which they serve.
Eulitz has dedicated 31 years of service to the City of Joliet and its residents. He started as a civil engineer and eventually worked his way up into his current role as Public Assets Supervisor. In his current role, he supervises all City-owned facilities, such as Union Station and Route 66 Stadium, and also manages the roadways, fleet services, buildings and grounds, as well as the forestry department.

“Mike is an outstanding engineer and truly advanced himself and his career from civil engineer to the roadways engineer to asset management supervision. He excels as a supervisor and manages these complex divisions adeptly,” said Public Works Director and 2018 Greeley Award recipient Jim Trizna.
According to Eulitz, he enjoys the day-to-day challenges that the role brings and works to complete each project with integrity.

“I have always had a great team of talented people to work with on every project we encountered, and I contribute much of my success to the support they provided over the years,” Eulitz said.
