Joliet Public School District Calendar 2018-19

JOLIET, IL — The first day of school in Joliet is August 20 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the dates on your calendar ASAP. The Joliet Public School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/19: School Improvement, No Afternoon Classes

• 10/8: No School (Columbus Day)

• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/19: No School for Students
• 11/20: No School for Students (Conferences)
• 11/21-11/23: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/21: Last Day Before Winter Break

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year's Day)
• 1/7: Classes Resume
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• 1/30: School Improvement, No Afternoon Classes

February

• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)
• 2/27: School Improvement, No Afternoon Classes

March

• 3/4: No School (Casimir Pulaski Day)
• 3/7: No School (Institute Day)
