How do you know the star local student?

She is my young cousin.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Saije is an honor roll student who plays violin for both the Joliet school district as well as taking private lessons on Saturdays and performing with VanderCook College of Music?s One City Strings Program.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

She works very hard and tries her very best at everything she does. As her older cousin, I have had the opportunity to watch her grow up from being a little baby into the young adolescent she is becoming. She loves being helpful and friendly to anyone she meets.

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Saije Cartwright!
