Joliet's 1st Seven-Brew Coffee Has Opening Date In Mind For West Jefferson Street: 4 Photos
Joliet will also be getting a second 7-Brew Drive-Thru Coffeeshop but that one is going south of the Louis Joliet Mall corridor.

JOLIET, IL ? More than two years after the Joliet City Council first approved plans to tear down the empty Long John Silver's restaurant at Barney Drive and West Jefferson Street, Joliet residents are almost ready to indulge in their first cups of Seven Brew Drive-Thru Coffee.
On Friday afternoon, Joliet Patch showed up at the property and found an electrician putting together some of the last-minute wiring for their drive-thru window.
Members of the Seven Brew coffee team let Joliet Patch know that tentative plans are to hopefully be open in about two and a half weeks, around Sept. 22 or Sept. 23. Healy Construction Services, Inc. out of Crestwood is the general contractor for this project.

There are several Seven Brew coffee shops throughout the Chicagoland now, but this will be the first time one has opened in Joliet.
Joliet's coffee scene is dominated by numerous Starbucks Coffee Shops and Dunkin' restaurants. However, many people around Joliet consider the Jitters Coffeehouse in downtownJoliet along North Chicago Street to be the city's top coffee place.

Seven Brew Won't Be Built Second Location In Joliet This Year

In addition to the new Seven Brew Coffee shop on West Jefferson Street, Seven Brew has received the go-ahead from the city of Joliet to construct a second coffee shop along Plainfield Road near the Denny's Family Restaurant.
In May, Joliet City Public Works Director Greg Ruddy sent a letter to the City Council urging them to vote in favor of the drive-thru permit. The proposed development involves construction of a new building on a vacant out lot within the Millenium Square Subdivision, Ruddy explained.
On Saturday, Joliet Patch learned that Gould Excavating broke ground for the foundation at the future Plainfield Road Seven Brew coffee shop. Gould will be excavating for the foundation on Monday, they said.
On Joliet's west side, Seven Brew will face fierce competition from Starbucks.
Starbucks just put a second coffeeshop along West Jefferson Street, opening on Memorial Day weekend at the former site of the Bakers Square pie and dessert restaurant.
