New Restaurant Being Built In Joliet Near Hollywood Casino

JOLIET, IL ? It took several years to build, but Joliet's highly anticipated Rock Run Collection, originally known as Rock Run Crossing, is well underway. Last Friday, contractors erected the new giant white and yellow letters spelling the words, HOLLYWOOD CASINO. Now, across the road along Gateway Boulevard, you can see a shell being built. It's a shell for a restaurant.

Joliet Patch has confirmed that the new restaurant under construction happens to be the ninth most popular fast-food restaurant chain in the country. No, it's not Burger King, Wendy's or KFC.

But if you guessed Chipotle Mexican Grill, you're a winner.

According to the company website, there are 175 Chipotles scattered across Illinois already, and this new one will mark No. 176. Chipotle is best known for its burritos, burrito bowls, quesadilla, salad, tacos and lifestyle bowl.

There are a number of Chipotle Restaurants in the Joliet area already, including 2609 W. Jefferson St. in Joliet, 2848 Plainfield Road in Joliet, 253 S. Weber Road in Romeoville, 462 W. Mondamin St. in Minooka and Bell Road & 143rd Street in Homer Glen.
