New Restaurant: Bourbon Burger, Portobello Burger, Cajun Jack, More

CREST HILL ? Joliet's neighbor, Crest Hill, is now the home of a new burger restaurant that is focused on takeout food. Burger City: Burgers With WOW! has made Crest Hill its second location. The original Burger City remains in Lisle, and it's been around about five years.

The new Burger City opened its doors on Jan. 21 near Weber Road, in the strip mall at 20641 West Renwick Road. Burger City has replaced the Super Catfish, a fast-food restaurant.

If you are coming to Burger City hoping for tacos, pizza or burritos, you are at the wrong place. Burger City is focused the obvious: burgers.

Ten different burgers are on the menu: hamburger, cheeseburger, beef bacon cheeseburger, portobello burger, bourbon burger, Cajun burger, Maui burger, Texas jalapeno, Egg That Burger and the California Burger.

You can also order from seven different chicken sandwiches. In addition, Burger City has four different vegetarian burgers: Black Bean Burger, Beyond, Grilled Cheese and Impossible.

If those items don't interest you, there's always the wings or chicken tenders, or in the alternative: the fish, which is a crispy fish sandwich, or you can order the fish and chips.

So far, some of the most popular burgers at the new Crest Hill restaurant are the Bourbon Burger, the traditional cheeseburger and the Cajun Jack.

Burger City is open daily on Renwick Road from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
