Georgia A. Patten, age 76, of Shorewood, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 following a brief illness. She was born May 10, 1945 in Joliet, IL, the daughter of the late George E. and Ann R. (nee Mack) Patten.

Georgia was a life-long resident of Joliet and graduated from Joliet Township High School, Class of 1963. She retired from AT&T and was formerly employed by Joliet Junior College and First Midwest Bank. Georgia is a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church of Joliet.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marilyn J. Cherven; and her brother, George E. Patten.

Survived by her niece, Susan (John) Underwood of Shorewood; brother-in-law, Frank Cherven of Channahon; sister-in-law, Virginia Patten of Joliet; other cousins and friends also survive.

Visitation for Georgia Patten will be Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday, July 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
