Terrence J. McCarthy passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, at Joliet Area Community Hospice.
Terry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Georgine McCarthy; children Chris (Kim) McCarthy, Meagan (Bret) Olsen and Shannon (Joseph) Antinori; grandchildren Kate and Ally McCarthy and Griffin and Owen Olsen; sister Mary Therese (the late Jerry) Spreitzer and brother Dan McCarthy.
Preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Therese McCarthy, and brother Joe McCarthy.

Terry was a lifelong Joliet resident and loved being “Coppy” to his grandkids, the Chicago White Sox and porch beers. He is a 1963 graduate of Joliet Catholic High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967.
A funeral Mass will take place at noon Friday, Feb. 23, at the Cathedral of St. Raymond, 604 N. Raynor Ave. in Joliet. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Terry’s life from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, Cemeno’s Pizza, 1630 Essington Road in Joliet.
