Plainfield trustees on Monday voted to reduce the number of the village’s liquor licenses due to the closings of Wild West BBQ, 15420 S. Route 59, and Shrimp Bar ‘N Grill, 24136 W. Lockport St.
Wild West BBQ opened in 2012 in the space formerly occupied by Salentino restaurant. Shrimp Bar ‘N Grill, which opened in July and was affiliated with the Shrimp Barn in Minooka, took over a site most recently occupied by Fiesta Mexicana, which closed last winter.

According to the Village of Plainfield, a new restaurant called Double Yolk Breakfast & Company is also “coming soon” to the village and is slated to open at 15521 S. Route 59. A village planner did not return a call from Patch asking when the eatery, which will occupy the former location of Route 59 Grill, will open.
