Joliet Heart Attack Victim Saved By Braidwood Firefighter
The off-duty firefighter and paramedic happened to be in Joliet by the Sam's Club when the emergency occurred.

JOLIET, IL — A member of the Braidwood Fire Department is being praised for her quick actions to save the life of a man suffering a heart attack Wednesday at the Sam's Club on Larkin Avenue in Joliet.
"People, let me tell you about this woman right here...BFD Firefighter/Paramedic Paige Mack," the Braidwood Fire Department announced on its Facebook page. "Yesterday while shopping at Sam's Club a gentleman suffered a medical emergency and went into cardiac arrest while in his vehicle. Paige noticed the situation, took charge, got this man out of his truck, then proceeded to perform CPR on him until the Ambulance arrived. The gentleman survived!
"We are extremely proud of Paige and wanted to share what a wonderful job she did."

Earlier in the day, a young woman posted on a Joliet social media platform asking for any information about the person or people responsible for saving her father's life.
"I know this is a long shot but my dad had a heart attack at Sam’s Club on Larkin yesterday mid day," the woman wrote. "The police officer told me three people pulled him out of his truck and did chest compressions until the EMTs arrived..... my dad is doing better but only because of those good people who helped him. If those amazing people are on here I just wanted to say thank you 1000xs from our whole family."
