Splash Station Opens: Here's How To Save Money
This marks the 17th year for Joliet's popular outdoor water park off Route 6 near Hollywood Casino.

JOLIET, IL - On Thursday afternoon, the weather was perfect for Joliet Park District employees who were putting the finishing touches on Joliet's Splash Station, the city's popular outdoor water park. Splash Station opens for business today, at 11 a.m. Friday, June 1. Staff is excited.
On many hot summer days, Splash Station has between 1,000 and 2,000 patrons. But as everyone knows, visiting the Splash Station isn't free. It costs money to run the place and pay the staff.
To get the season off to a great start, the Joliet Park District has partnered with Groupon to offer a discount but for a limited time only.

To get the discount, visit Groupon's website and enter the keywords of Splash Station Water Park, according to park district officials. The Groupon is good for kids as well as family members.
"This will be our seventeenth year of the park and we've kind of shined up some things. We've got our TCBY slide here, our pink slide, and we're ready to go. Hopefully we get some nice warm weather," remarked Blaine Kline, Joliet Park District's stadium and aquatics center superintendent.
