Support Cancer Awareness At The Joliet Slammers Game On Saturday
Proceeds from Saturday's game will raise awareness about cancer and benefit a young patient's family.
This Saturday, August 17th, is Cancer Awareness Night as the Joliet Slammers battle Southern Illinois Miners. The special evening will benefit and aid 6-year-old Austin’s family in paying for his medical bills.
Austin is battling osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer that often occurs in children and young adults. To help his family, the Joliet Slammers are donating half of ticket sales to support Austin’s treatments. Joliet Slammers’ fans and those looking to support can purchase tickets in advance on the team’s website at just $10 using the offer code AUSTINSARMY at checkout. $5 from that purchase will aid in covering medical expenses as the family also works to keep a smile on young Austin’s face.
Be sure to purchase tickets in advance for Austin and #AUSTINSARMY.
