JOLIET, IL — A 38-year-old man had to have his SUV pulled from a retention pond Sunday.
Joliet Deputy Police Chief told The Herald-News that Adrian Grait was driving eastbound on Theodore Street when he swerved to avoid hitting a small animal and landed in a pond.
Grait was ticketed for improper lane use. He was not injured.
