The Troy Middle School 8th grade Girls Basketball Team will play Alton Middle School on Thursday, December 19 for the IESA 4A State Championship.
Two back-to-back victories by the Troy Trojans at State games on December 14 advanced the team to the finals, which will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Macon Meridian High School.
The team defeated Minooka Junior High 44-32 on December 11 at the Sectional game, and won over Bolingbrook Humphrey 42-27 on December 5 in the Regional finals.

Coach for the team is Serena Cruz, and Assistant Coach is Matt Stortz.
