JOLIET, IL – This week, Will County Circuit Clerk Andrea Lynn Chasteen announced the launch of a new computer program named, iGuilty. The secure web service program, which officially debuted on Wednesday, July 1, will aid in allowing drivers to handle several court matters online, particularly due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are encouraging court users to access the Courts remotely, especially during this health crisis, and iGuilty gives the user detailed information about their sentence and amounts owed in a convenient way that allows for social distancing,” Chasteen stated.

Through iGuilty, users can plead guilty to traffic and conservation offenses, request supervision, and also pay fines and assessments for citations which do not require court appearances. All matters can be handled in a single transaction.

“This was a product I’ve wanted to develop for a long time and I saw the opportunity to launch it at the same as the new Traffic Safety Program,” Chasteen indicated. “It was accomplished thanks to the coordinated effort of IT staff and our management on the Traffic and Finance teams. I’m really proud of the way it all came together and I’m excited for the public’s reaction.”

To access iGuilty, visit Chasteen’s Circuit Clerk homepage at www.circuitclerkofwillcounty.com and click on the “Plead and Pay” link. Additionally, the office will continue accepting payments through the website for cases that have already been to court.
