2 Charged in Glen Burnie Drug Bust

Police seized marijuana, prescription drugs and a shotgun after carrying out a warrant.

Anne Arundel County police arrested two people and seized nearly $8,000 worth of marijuana and prescription medication while serving a search warrant at a residence on Glen Burnie on Friday night.

Tavon Lamont Hood, 25, of Columbia, and Aneise Elaine Gentry, 53, were charged in connection with the discovery of drugs.

Shortly after 10:30 p.m. on May 3, narcotics and patrol officers entered a residence on the 400 block of Old Stage Road and found 189 grams of marijuana, 62 tablets of Oxycontin, eight tablets of Alprazalom, drug paraphernalia, $509 in cash and a 12-gauge shotgun.

Police estimated the marijuana would have a street value of $3,800 and the Oxycontin has a street value of $3,900.

Hood was charged with three counts of drug possession with intent to distribute, three counts of drug possession, one count of paraphernalia possession and two firearms charges.

Gentry was charged with two counts of drug possession with intent to distribute, one count of possession of paraphernalia and one count of obstructing and hindering a police investigation.
