2 Men Face Charges of Robbery, Assault

In a separate incident, two men allegedly robbed the Luckies convenience store in Marley at gunpoint on Friday morning.

Glen Burnie: Robbery arrests

Anne Arundel County police arrested two men Friday night in connection with the robbery of a man in Glen Burnie.

Joseph Michael Sanford Jr., 24, of the 100 block of Plymouth Lane in Glen Burnie and Joshua David Tingler, 27, of the 2400 block of Christian Street in Baltimore were charged with robbery, second-degree assault, theft and other related charges, police said.

According to a police press release, officers responded to the area of Quarterfield Road and Thelma Avenue at about 9:50 p.m. Friday for a reported fight in progress.

When officers arrived, two men ran from the scene and police apprehended them a short distance away. After an investigation, officers determined that the men assaulted a 21-year-old man and took cash and belongings from him before they ran.

The victim was taken to the and treated for minor injuries.

Glen Burnie: Robbery

Police say two men robbed a Glen Burnie convenience store at gunpoint on Friday morning.

According to a police press release, officers responded to Luckies convenience store located in the 7700 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard at about 11:10 a.m. Friday for a reported robbery.

Officers spoke with the store clerk who said two men with handguns wearing surgical masks entered the store and demanded money. According to police, the men assaulted the clerk and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the store before running from the area.

Officers searched the area but were unable to find the men.

One suspect was described as being a dark-complected black man in his 20s standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, having a thin build with tattoos on his face—including a cross tattoo on his right cheek. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark tennis shoes, blue jeans and a surgical mask, according to the release.
